Fenton Intersection Accidents at Gravois Bluffs Boulevard and Highway 141
As a mostly residential area, Fenton enjoys far less traffic than the neighboring cities. That does not mean the streets in Fenton are danger-free, however. Highway 141 is a particularly crowded highway in the small town. It runs north and south and brings a great deal of traffic from more populated areas like Chesterfield. This constant high volume of cars is more than enough to make 141 dangerous, but the highway becomes deadly when it intersects with other roads.
There are few intersections along 141 that are more dangerous than at Gravois Bluffs Blvd. What makes this intersection particularly hazardous is the fact that to get from one side of Gravois Bluffs to the other, a driver must go through 141. Whereas other crossings opt for a bridge for through traffic, the intersection at Highway 141 and Gravois Bluffs Blvd. relies on a traffic light. Distracted or drunk drivers can easily miss it.
On top of that, because 141 North and 141 South are split, and because the westbound and eastbound lanes of Gravois Bluffs Blvd. split right before the intersection begins, there are, essentially, four streets that cross together in this intersection (which does not include the on- and off-ramps, of which there are also four). That means there are eight points of entry and exit that drivers must know and compensate for as they pass through the intersection.
