Personal & Professional Background

Chris Wright has represented victims and their families in complex personal injury, medical negligence, nursing home negligence, and wrongful death cases since 1998.

Chris is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Illinois. He grew up in Oakville in South St. Louis County, and is the son of the late Colonel Allen D. Wright (US Army & MO Army National Guard) and JoAnn Wright.

He graduated from CBC High School in 1990, where he was a member of the National Honor Society, and the CBC Cadet football and baseball teams.  In 2023, he was honored to be elected into the CBC Alumni Hall of Fame.  Chris attended William Jewell College in Liberty, MO, where he was a member of the Jewell Cardinals football and Debate Teams. In 1994, Chris graduated from Jewell with Bachelor of Arts Degrees in both Political Science and Communication. Chris graduated from UMKC School of Law in 1998. While in law school, Chris served as Managing Editor of the UMKC Law Review, he was on the Ellison Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Board, and he received the Max J. Foust Scholarship, a scholarship awarded annually to a law student with experience or skills that indicate future success in trial advocacy.

Chris has supported, or has served on the Boards of, the following charitable and consumer advocacy groups: The United Way; The Brain Injury Association of Missouri; The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America; the Kirkwood-Webster Junior Football League (KWJFL); and the Jr. Cadets Athletic Program. He is currently a member of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys (MATA), the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association (ILTLA) and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis (BAMSL).

Chris’ passions include enjoying every moment he can with his family (his wife whom he married in 1999, and their 3 amazing, adult sons), defying the aging process by working out at The Grind FS, and coaching youth football.  Chris – like his Dad and his 2 older brothers – is proud to have been in the Boys Scouts of America, where he earned the rank of Eagle Scout, and where he was a member of the Order of the Arrow.
